Two Caldwell County Lady Tigers are among the players named to the 2021 2nd Region Coaches Association All-Region Volleyball team. Those awards were handed out Thursday night at the 2nd Region championship game, which was played at Crittenden County High School.
Seniors Adison Sullenger and Mary Tays were among the players named to the team and two of the four players from the 7th District to be honored.
Sullenger led the Lady Tigers in assists, finishing with more than 700 for the year. She was one of five Caldwell County players to pass 100 digs. Sullenger also led the Lady Tigers in service aces.
Tays had a big season for the Lady Tigers finishing with more than 400 digs. She ended the season with more than 100 kills, more than 50 assists, and more than 50 service aces.
Caldwell County ended the season at 20-19, finishing as the runner-up in the 7th District and reaching the 2nd Region semifinals.
