One of the younger members of the Fort Campbell Lady Falcons volleyball team has been recognized for her play on the court this season by being named to the 2021 2nd Region Coaches Association All-Region Volleyball team. Those awards were handed out Thursday night at the 2nd Region championship game, which was played at Crittenden County High School.
Freshman Marlie Fanning was the only Lady Falcon honored and was one of six players from the 8th District named to the All-Region team.
Despite only playing in 10 of the Lady Falcons’ matches in 2021, Fanning led the team in kills with 79. She was second in the team in assists with 68. She was first on the team in digs with 145 and first on the team in aces with 44.
Fanning was one of six players, freshman or younger, on the Lady Falcon roster this season.
