Lyon County’s Abby Smith has been named the Second Region coach of the year based on voting by her peers.
The Lady Lyons were 15-3-2 in 2021 and won the Fifth District title. Lyon County was 12-3 against region opposition and 5-0 against district opponents.
The 15 wins were the most by a Lyon County girls’ team since 2016.
Smith has a 31-23-2 record in three seasons as Lady Lyon head coach.
