Jaylen Boyd topped the century mark again and added two more touchdowns to his totals as Lindsey Wilson routed Campbellsville 77-14 on Saturday in the Battle of Highway 55.

Boyd was honored before the game as part of Lindsey Wilson’s Senior Day ceremony.

The former Caldwell County star then went out and ran for 108 yards on 10 carries — his program-leading 12th 100-yard rushing game.

Boyd scored on a 7-yard run in the first quarter and a 9-yard carry early in the second period to help the Blue Raiders run out to a 57-7 lead at halftime in the rivalry contest.

Lindsey Wilson not only captured the Highway 55 Traveling Trophy but also wrapped up the Mid-South Conference Bluegrass Division title and earned a berth in the NAIA’s Football Championship Series, which begins in two weeks.

Top-ranked Lindsey Wilson is the defending national champion and has won a school-record 20-straight games.

Boyd has rushed for 3,239 yards at Lindsey Wilson and has 36 career rushing touchdowns. Both are school records.

Lindsey Wilson finishes the regular season next Saturday at the University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg.
