Emma Talley has qualified for next week’s season-ending CME Group Tour Championship after a 60th place finish in the LPGA Pelican Women’s Championship.

Talley earned $4,247 by finishing at 1-under-par overall in Belleair, Florida. She shot rounds of 70, 70, 71 and 68.

Nelly Korda won the event in a playoff after she and three others finished regulation at 17-under.

Talley actually slipped one spot in the Race to the CME Globe point standings after this week’s showing. Talley went from 60th to 61st.

Only the Top 60 qualify for the CME Group Tour Championship in Naples, Florida. However, two players ahead of Talley are not in the field this week, opening the door for Talley and Jenny Coleman at Nos. 61 and 62 to squeeze into the event.

The Tour Championship is a no-cut event with a $5 million purse, with $1.5 million going to the winner.

The 72-hole event gets underway on Thursday.
