As a Lyon County High School cheerleader, senior Zoe Board constantly cheers on her classmates.

But her academic achievements at Lyon are worthy of their own cheers.

The varsity co-captain each of the past two seasons is not only Chapter President of Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) but is Region 2 President. She was VP of Membership in the organization as a junior and VP of Public Relations as a sophomore.

She is Secretary of Future Business Leaders of America as well as a Beta Club Representative and Pep Club Representative.

Board has been Student Council Secretary/Treasurer all four years in high school.

As a junior, Board took part in the Kentucky Governor’s Scholar Program.

As a sophomore, she was part of the Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership Seminar.

A varsity tennis player at Lyon, Board is a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

She is also a member of the Young Republicans Club and the Technology Student Association (TSA).

Board is part of the Eddyville First Baptist Youth Group and is an employee of both The Joint and Venture River Waterpark.

So if you “Stand up and holler!” at a Lyon County game this season, give a shout out to Board for her work outside the gym, and for her fellow cheerleaders as well.
