While the 2021 soccer season did not end exactly as they would have liked it to, there was still plenty to celebrate Thursday night as the University Heights Academy Blazers held their annual banquet at the Bruce Convention Center.
The Blazers finished the 2021 season with a record of 12-11, having won their second straight 8th District championship, before falling to Caldwell County in the 2nd Region semifinals.
Several awards were handed out during the evening. Those awards were:
Golden Boot Award – Connor Dill
Silver Boot Award – Preston Thomas and Ethan Hale
Defensive Player Award – Ethan Alexander
Most Dynamic Player – Mason Price
Maximum Effort Award – Cole Glover
Coach’s Award – Will Hancock and Will Maxwell
