After leading the Todd County Central Rebels into the playoffs for the second consecutive year, Coach Josh Robins has been recognized by his peers for the job he has done with the Rebels’ program. The Kentucky Football Coaches Association announced their “District Player of the Year” and “District Coach of the Year” awards for all six classes across the state Friday.

Robins was selected as the Class 2A District 2 “Coach of the Year.” The Rebels went 2-2 in district play in 2021, finishing as the district runner-up and hosting a first-round playoff game. Todd Central’s bid for its first playoff win in 25 years came up just short in the final seconds as they lost to Hancock County 14-6 in the opening round.

The Rebels finished 4-7 for the year with three of the losses by a touchdown or less. Todd Central also pushed the Russellville Panthers, losing 10-0 to a Panther team that has now reached the Class A semifinals.
