Caldwell County and McLean County hooked up in a boys’ basketball scrimmage Wednesday afternoon in Princeton.
In four quarters of varsity action, Caldwell edged McLean 58-53.
The Tigers took the first quarter 15-3 with McLean winning the second 21-5.
Caldwell won both of the third and fourth quarters, 17-14 and 21-15.
The teams played an additional period with varsity players, with McLean taking that 20-10.
It was the final preseason outing for Caldwell, which opens the regular season at home on Tuesday against defending 2nd Region champion University Heights.
