Jaylen Boyd Tops 3,500 Career Rushing Yards in Playoff Win

Jaylen Boyd topped 3,500 career rushing yards and Lindsey Wilson rolled into the NAIA national semifinals for the third-straight season.

Boyd had a seven-yard touchdown run on Saturday to help the top-seeded and No. 1-ranked Blue Raiders roll past 12th-seeded Keiser, Fla., 54-12 in quarterfinal round action in Columbia.

The former Caldwell County standout ran for just 47 yards on 13 carries as Lindsey Wilson did most of its damage early in the passing game while building a 40-6 lead at halftime.

Boyd also caught one pass for 10 yards. His touchdown run came in the third quarter.

Quarterback Cameron Dukes passed for 268 yards and four touchdowns while running for another TD in the win. He topped the 10,000-yard passing mark in the contest.

Boyd, a senior, now has 3,544 career yards and 39 touchdowns rushing for the Blue Raiders.

Lindsey Wilson is 12-0 this season. The defending NAIA national champions have won 23 straight games.

The Blue Raiders later learned their semifinal opponent next week is Grand View (Iowa).

Kickoff is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. next Saturday, Dec. 4, at Parnell Family Stadium.

Grand View advanced to the semifinals with a 31-16 win over Concordia (Mich.). The Vikings are 13-0 on the season and enter the game as the No. 3-ranked team in the country.
