Trigg Wrestlers Open Season at Harpeth Invitational

Trigg County opened its 2021-22 wrestling season Saturday at the West Creek Coyote Classic in Clarksville.

Anthony Hall had Trigg County’s best day on the mat, reaching the podium and claiming third place.  Hall dropped his first match of the day then rebounded to win three straight by fall.

Makenna Hendricks wrestled against the guys in the 145-pound class. After losing her opening match, she bounced back to win a pair of matches by fall. Her day ended in the fourth round of the consolation round.

Timmy Cannon won a match in the 126-pound class before an injury ended his day in the quarterfinals.

Tyler Jacobs won a pair of matches in the 152-pound class and finished his day 2-2 on the mat.

Matt Ladd won a match at 285, defeating Carson Cantrell of Cheatham County Central in a sudden death round. He lost in the fifth match of the consolation round.

Trigg County finished in 17th place in the team standings with 40 points.
