Kentucky football has had another special season with a 9-3 record going into the Jan. 1 Citrus Bowl in Orlando against Iowa. The team beat Florida, LSU, and Louisville and had some amazing individual performances.

However, what quarterback Will Levis, receiver Wan’Dale Robinson, running back Chris Rodriguez, and defensive lineman Josh Paschal are doing Saturday is far more important and impressive than anything they did on the field — and all four did plenty this year.

The foursome will have an autograph signing at KSBar Saturday at 1 p.m. with all proceeds going to tornado relief. How impressive is that? On Tuesday Levis, Robinson and Rodriguez all took part in the UK Athletics telethon that helped raise over $3 million.

Levis transferred to Kentucky from Penn State this year and has become a huge fan favorite. It’s like he’s a lifetime Kentuckian.

“Absolutely devastating. Breaks my heart to see this. Praying for all those affected. If anyone knows the best way that we as a team can help with the relief efforts, please let me know,” Levis posted on social media a day after western Kentucky and some other parts of Kentucky were devastated by the tornado last weekend.

“In the process of organizing an autograph signing/photo opportunity with some of the guys on the team as well as maybe the basketball team with all proceeds going towards relief for Mayfield and other areas in need. Stay tuned!”

Just like he delivered four touchdowns against Louisville, the quarterback more than delivered by getting Robinson, Rodriguez, and Paschal — three of the best players in the SEC — to join him for this fundraiser.

Apparently, they are going to be willing to sign autographs as long as fans are there.

This is a great way to meet the UK football stars, get an autograph/picture, and help those in need.

If you go, send me some photos and/or call us on Sunday Morning Sports on WLAP in Lexington to let us know how the event went.
