Caldwell County senior Blake Vivrette has chosen his college — and his sport.

A four-sport athlete at CCHS, Vivrette will kick for the Kentucky Wesleyan College football team starting next fall.

Vivrette was a difference-maker on the Caldwell County football team this past season. His kickoffs and punts typically pinned the opposition deep in its own territory. Meanwhile, he converted 22 of 26 extra-point kicks and was 7 of 10 on field goal attempts — but a perfect 6-for-6 inside of 40 yards.

That helped the Tiger football team go 7-4 in 2021.

Vivrette was named All-WKC first team kicker each of the past two seasons.

Vivrette was also a key member of Caldwell’s soccer team, which reached the 2nd Region championship game for the first time in school history. It was Vivrette’s shootout PK that sent the Tigers to the regional finals.

As a member of the Caldwell track team last spring, Vivrette finished third in the high jump at the Class 2A state meet and was named second-team all-state.

Vivrette is in his second season as a member of the Caldwell basketball team.

He announced his college intentions on social media on Wednesday.

“I’m excited to announce that I am 100% COMMITTED to @kwc_football and I will be “Kickin’ It” in Owensboro next fall,” said Vivrette.

Kentucky Wesleyan was the first school to officially offer Vivrette a scholarship.

He also had offers to kick from Lindsey Wilson College, Thomas More University and Midway University.
