Caldwell County Grounds Lady Falcons

The Caldwell County Lady Tigers started fast and finished strong in Friday night’s trip to Fort Campbell. The Lady Tigers scored 26 first-quarter points and then limited the Lady Falcons to just two points in each of the third and fourth quarters on the way to a 67-18 win on post.

Caldwell County came firing right out of the gate as they took the 26-8 first-quarter lead. The second quarter was more of the same. Brylee Butts, who scored seven points in the first quarter, hit for ten more in the second quarter as the Lady Tigers moved the lead out to 47-14.

The Lady Tiger defense then took over for the remainder of the game. Caldwell County allowed Fort Campbell just two points in the third quarter as the lead grew to 59-16 going into the final quarter.

Reserves saw much of the action over the final eight minutes for Caldwell County, and with the running clock the quarter played out quickly as the Lady Tigers took the 49 point win.

Brylee Butts had a big night for Caldwell County with 23 points. Katy Smiley added 12 for the Lady Tigers.

Marlie Fanning was the only Lady Falcon to reach double figures, with 11 points.

Caldwell County improves to 6-10 with the win, while Fort Campbell drops to 1-9.
