It was a game that was over almost from the moment the Livingston Central Cardinals got off the bus. Lyon County scored the first twenty points of the game and was never seriously threatened on the way to a 93-28 win over the Cardinals

Livingston Central had trouble just getting the ball across the mid-court line for much of the first half, with those turnovers generally leading to runout layups at the other end.

By the time the first quarter onslaught was over, the Lyon lead was at 36-9. Travis Perry had more than doubled the Cardinals on his own, putting up 20 points in the first eight minutes of the game.

Lyon County used the big lead to get some reserves some early action in the second quarter. That enabled Livingston Central to at least not see the margin get wider, that is until the starters returned to the court late in the second quarter. With the lead at 42-16, Lyon County jacked up the pressure again on defense and ripped off the final 17 points of the half to blow the lead out to 59-16 at the break.

Travis Perry put up 26 points in the opening half, while Gunnar Bingham also had a big half with 14 points for the Lyons.

The second half began with the running clock and played out quickly. The Lyons opened the half with sixteen straight to complete a 33-0 run. The run pushed the lead out to 75-16. The Lyon starters would then exit the game with four minutes left to go in the quarter. The quarter would end with the Lyons up 77-20.

With the run to start the game and the run during the middle of the game, the Lyons had two stretches of the game where they outscored Livingston Central 53-0.

Lyon County reserves were then able to extend the lead during the 4th quarter to the final 65 point margin.

The Lyons’ Travis Perry led all scorers in the game with 31 points. Gunnar Bingham added 18 points for Lyon County. Jackson Shoulders ended up with 12 points, while Brady Shoulders added 10.

For Livingston Central, Gavin Crass had 11 points in the contest. Tyler Calendar also reached double figures with 10 .

Lyon County improves to 12-4 with their 7th straight win.

Livingston Central falls to 2-13 with their 6th straight loss.
