Hopkinsville Lady Tigers Roll Fort Campbell

Make it five wins in the last six games for the Hopkinsville Lady Tigers. Hoptown put up 47 points in the first half Monday night, as they roared past Fort Campbell 65-16 in an 8th District matchup against the Lady Falcons.

Hopkinsville’s defense held Fort Campbell to a single field goal in the opening quarter as the Lady Tigers jumped out to a 20-2 lead. That lead would balloon out to 47-11 at the half.

Donisha Flowers dominated the first half of play for the Lady Tigers, scoring 19 points for Hopkinsville.

With the margin at 36 points at the half, the second half was played with a running clock and played out quickly. The lead would be 54-16 after the third quarter.

The Hopkinsville defense would then pitch a shutout over the final eight minutes as the Lady Tigers pulled on out to the final 49 point margin.

Donisha Flowers led all scorers in the game, putting up 28 points for the Lady Tigers. JaChia Pendleton and Faith Dansbury added eight points each for Hopkinsville.

Fort Campbell was paced by Marlie Fanning with 5 points. Yesenia Scott and Rosella Rajj scored four points each.

Hopkinsville improves to 5-9 overall and 2-0 in the district. Fort Campbell drops to 1-11 and 0-2.
