Offensive woes upended the Heritage Christian Warriors’ hopes of picking up a road win at Dawson Springs Friday night. The Warriors could muster only 38 points for the night as the Panthers picked up the 48-38 win.
The win ended a 14 game losing streak for Dawson Springs. The Panthers’ last win came back on December 4 when they defeated Community Christian.
The Warriors struggled shooting the ball in the Dawson gym, connecting on just 11 of 37 from the field, including 0 of 9 from behind the 3-point line. HCA was 16 of 27 from the free throw line.
Carlos Robles led the way for Heritage Christian with 13 points. Triston Folz added 8 for the Warriors. Zane Yates and Jason Leek had 5 points each. Trenton Hayes scored 4 points. Weston Powell finished with three.
The contest marked the first-ever meeting between the two teams.
