The Todd County Central Rebels moved closer to a 20-win season Saturday night. Three nights after scoring the first 25 points of the game and rolling past the Russellville Panthers by 33 points in Elkton, the Rebels defeated the Panthers again, this time 62-54 in Russellville.

After settling the issue early in the game Wednesday night, the Rebels had to secure this one late in the game after a tight battle for the first three quarters.

Todd County Central would hold an 11-10 lead after the opening quarter. However, the Panthers battled back and took a 26-25 lead into the locker room at the break.

The Panthers would extend that lead slightly as they came back out for the second half. Russellville would lead 43-41 going into the final eight minutes of the game. If not for the play of Preston Moore it could have been much worse for the Rebels. Moore had 20 points through the first three quarters.

Jamison Glass, who had been held scoreless for the first three quarters, finished strong with 8 points in the fourth to help the Rebels come from behind to take the eight-point win.

Preston Moore paced the Rebels with 21 points. Perez Whitlock finished with 10 points. Amari Andrews just missed double figures with 9.

Jovari Gamble and Layne Steele led Russellville with 14 points each. Lennon Ries was also in double figures with 13.

The win improves the Rebels to 19-6 on the year. Todd Central will go for their 20th win of the season Monday night when they travel to Franklin-Simpson.
