Hopkins County Central put two swimmers in the pool at Sunday’s Region I Swim Meet at Hopkinsville High and had one finish in the top-five.
Mason Brown finished fifth in the 200-yard freestyle in 2:22.86
Mason Gallimore was 21st in the 50-yard free (34.38) and 21st in the 100-yard free (1:20.24)
Hopkins County Central totaled 14 points to finish in ninth place.
Meanwhile, Hopkins County Central had two girls’ swimmers compete.
Madison Gallimore was 13th in the 200-yard freestyle (2:40.07) and 16th in the 50-yard free (33.94).
NyaJade Ribay was 20th in the 50-yard free (36.97) and 20th in the 100-yard free (1:24.87)
Hopkins County Central totaled five points to finish in 11th place.
Sunday’s region meet at the Rick Cohn Aquatic Center was delayed two days due to the winter weather that left many roads in western Kentucky ice covered. Because of the delay, the preliminary round was scratched and Sunday’s event was a timed final.
