Falcons Fall in Regular Season Finale at Fort Knox

The Fort Campbell Falcons hung tough throughout the game but came up just short Saturday at Fort Knox. The Eagles did just enough down the stretch to take a 55-49 win over the Falcons.

The game was tight from the very beginning. The two teams were tied at 13-13 after the first eight minutes of the contest.

The Falcons would make only one field goal in the second quarter but trailed only 28-26 at the break. Fort Campbell had a big quarter at the free throw line to hang with the Eagles in the quarter. The Falcons would end up making 11 of 16 at the line in the second.

The two teams continued to play even as the second half got started. Each team would score 13 points in the third as the quarter ended with the Eagles still clinging to a two-point lead at 41-39.

However, Fort Campbell could not get to the front and claim the game as the Eagles ended up with the six point win.

Aidan Blaszkowski was the only Falcon to reach double figures, finishing with 18 points. Dason Tate added 8 points for Fort Campbell.

Allston Leggette was the leading scorer with 16 points. Daniel Phillips finished with eight.

With the loss, the Falcons close out the regular season at 2-21. Fort Campbell opens postseason play against Hopkinsville, Tuesday night at 6:00.
