Alicia Stanley smacked a two-run triple to break a 2-2 tie in the 5th inning and send the Caldwell County Lady Tigers to a 5-3 scrimmage win at Murray High on Thursday.

Caldwell took a 2-0 lead after an RBI single by Rylee Thompson, but Murray tied the game in the bottom of the inning on an error and a passed ball.

Brylee Butts reached base after being hit by a pitch to start the 5th, followed by a double by Harper Holeman.  Stanley tripled to right field on a 2-2 pitch to bring in two runs and came home on a ground-out for a 5-2 advantage.

Illysa Stallins earned the win on the mound with five innings of work, yielding two unearned runs on four hits with a walk and three strikeouts.

Thompson had a pair of hits and an RBI, and Stanley had a hit and drove in two.

Kylie Chapman took the loss for Murray, allowing five runs on seven hits over six innings.  She struck out ten and walked three.

On Monday, Caldwell County will hit the road to open the regular season at Union County.  The Lady Tigers took both meetings with the Lady Braves last season.
