Emma Talley just missed a Top 20 finish in the 2022 Honda LPGA Thailand on Sunday.

The three-time Kentucky state champion at Caldwell County and former national champion at the University of Alabama fired a final round 6-under-par 66 at the Siam Country Club course in Chonburi. That put her at 17-under overall.

Talley left the course inside the Top 20, but numerous low scores in the final round pushed her into a six-way tie for 21st.

That earned her a nice paycheck of $16,684 for her week’s work.

Talley shot rounds of 69, 69, 67 and 66 in the event.

She recorded 21 birdies in the 72-hole tournament.

Talley posted on social media afterward, “Thank you @hondalpgathailand for a very HOT week! Left some out there, but super pumped where my game is at the moment and excited to keep working hard!”

Meanwhile, Nanna Koerstz Madsen captured the Honda LPGA Thailand with an eagle on the second playoff hole and became the first LPGA Tour winner from Denmark. She outlasted a hard-fought battle with China’s Xiyu Lin, draining a 10-foot putt to take the title.

Koerstz Madsen and Lin finished at 26-under overall to set a new tournament scoring record, breaking the mark of 25-under set by Jessica Korda in 2018.

The LPGA Tour will take off next week before returning to action with the JTBC Classic presented by Barbasol in Carlsbad, Calif., March 24-27.
