Colonels Finish in 8th Place on the Henderson County Track

Christian County had six finishes in the top-5 Saturday at the Henderson County Track and Field Classic that landed them in eighth place.

Jaiden Northington had Christian County’s lone win as he took first in the 400-meter dash in a time of 53.9 seconds.

As a team, Christian County’s 51 points were six points behind Central Hardin’s 57 points for seventh place.  Calloway County (111.5) edged Owensboro (110) for the team title.

COLONEL FINISHES

Jaiden Northington – 1st in the 400-meter dash (53.9); 5th in the 200-meter dash (24.5)

Xavien Henderson – 5th in the triple jump (33-09); 19th in the long jump (15-03.50)

TreCoreus Blanton – 6th in the 100-meter dash (12.2)

Jermaine Dove – 7th in the 400-meter dash (57.7)

Cam Britton – 7th in the 1600-meter run (5:03.9)

Christopher McCarley – 7th in the shot put (35-06.25); 7th in the discus throw (95-02)

Demetrius Holloway – 9th in the 110-meter hurdles (19.6)

Dahzmeon Brown – 10th in the 100-meter hurdles (12.4)

Xavier Quarles – 11th in the long jump (16-07)

Jarae Leavell – 14th in the triple jump (28-09)

Montravion Handy – 15th in the 110-meter hurdles (23.0)

Stacey Ladd – 16th in the discus throw (75-03)

Javvion Hawkins – 17th in the 200-meter dash (26.7)

The 400-meter relay team of Dahzmeon Brown, Jaiden Northington, TreCoreus Blanton, and Zamien Matlock took third place with a time of 47.1 seconds.

Blanton, Brown, Matlock, and Demetrius Holloway teamed to finish fourth in the 800-meter relay in 1:39.6.

Wyatt Fleming, James Thomas Miles, Alex Hale, and Joseph Parker finished sixth in the 3200-meter relay in 10:00.06.

The top relay finish of the day came from Brown, Northington, Jermaine Dove, and Jarae Leavell with a second place medal in the 1600-meter relay in 3:49.7.
