Sam Case, seen here pitching Monday against South Laurel, pitched a three-inning no-hitter Tuesday against Presentation in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.

Todd County Central bounced back from a Monday loss in Florida to mercy rule Presentation in three innings Tuesday behind a no-hitter from Sam Case.

The Lady Rebels banged out 16 hits in picking up the 15-0 win over the Louisville school at Fort Walton Beach.

Case pitched to one more batter than the minimum with a hit batter the only base runner for the Toppers (1-9).

Abby Williams and Dakotah Gammon each had RBI singles in the five-run first inning for the Lady Rebels, and  Karli Herrera and Naomi Welborn each rapped run-scoring doubles.

In the second inning, Case led off with a triple and scored on an Abby McPherson single. Jocelyn Mack followed with an RBI double that scored Williams.  Todd added two more runs on RBI groundouts.

In the third inning, McPherson cranked a two-run double, Herrera followed with an RBI triple, and Madelyn Slaughter rounded out the scoring with an RBI single.

Six Lady Rebels – Case, McPherson, Herrera, Gammon, Welborn, and Slaughter – had two hits with Herrera tallying a double and a triple to join McPherson with three RBIs.

The Lady Rebels also played an errorless game in the field.

Todd County Central (8-4) is scheduled to play two games Wednesday against Campbellsville and Bethlehem, but heavy rains Tuesday afternoon along the panhandle may put those games at risk.
