Lady Falcons Take Home First Place Trophy from Hoptown Classic

Six wins were enough to send the Fort Campbell Lady Falcons to the team title Saturday at the Hopkinsville Track and Field Classic.

Gianna Verdone won a pair of events in the hurdles, and three relay teams took first place.

As a team, the Lady Falcons scored 109 points to finish 11 points ahead of second-place Hopkinsville.

Savannah Ziegler – 4^th in the 100-meter dash (13.82); 5^th in the 200-meter dash (29.06)

Elizabeth Allen – 4^th in the 300-meter hurdles (59.05)

Kennedy Leary – 4^th in the triple jump (28-08); 4^th in the 400-meter dash (1:08.21)

Keelin Gray – 4^th in the 1600-meter run (6:30.77)

Hailey Hendrickson – 5^th in the long jump (12-06); 5^th in the 100-meter hurdles (19.56).

Kierstyn Patterson – 5^th in the shot put (23-0); 8^th in the discus throw (51-04)

Lillian Marou – 6^th in the discus throw (53-10)

Angela Glynn – 7^th in the discus throw (51-05)

Elizabeth Wood – 7^th in the long jump (11-08)

Pilar Cerritos-Gatto – 8^th in the shot put (16-09.5)

Hailey McCoy – 9^th in the shot put (15-00)

The 3200-meter relay team of Keelin Gray, Meg Lubas, Lauren Blanton, and Elizabeth Allen won the race with a time of 11:41.66.

The 400-meter relay team of Savannah Ziegler, Charlize Cruz, Natalie Winters, and Anna Allen won in a time of 55.16 seconds.

Another win came from the 1600-meter relay team of Ava Roberts, Kennedy Leary, Madeline Thompson, and Isabella Palenzuela. They crossed the line at 4:45.73.
