Lady Falcons Take Home First Place Trophy from Hoptown Classic

Six wins were enough to send the Fort Campbell Lady Falcons to the team title Saturday at the Hopkinsville Track and Field Classic.

Gianna Verdone won a pair of events in the hurdles, and three relay teams took first place.

As a team, the Lady Falcons scored 109 points to finish 11 points ahead of second-place Hopkinsville.

Gianna Verdone – 1st in the 300-meter hurdles (52.30); 1st in the 100-meter hurdles (17.95); 3rd in the high jump (4-06)

Meg Lubas – 1st in the 800-meter run (2:44.29); 2nd in the 1660-meter run (5:54.16)

Anna Allen – 2nd in the long jump (13-02.5); 2nd in the triple jump (30.02.5); 2nd in the 100-meter hurdles (19.13)

Gracyn Hughes – 2nd in the high jump (4-10)

Charlize Cruz – 3rd in the 100-meter dash (13.74)

Isabella Palenzuela – 3rd in the 400-meter dash (1:07.43)

Natalie Winters – 3rd in the 200-meter dash (28.86); 5th in the 100-meter dash (14.06)

Savannah Ziegler – 4th in the 100-meter dash (13.82); 5th in the 200-meter dash (29.06)

Elizabeth Allen – 4th in the 300-meter hurdles (59.05)

Kennedy Leary – 4th in the triple jump (28-08); 4th in the 400-meter dash (1:08.21)

Keelin Gray – 4th in the 1600-meter run (6:30.77)

Hailey Hendrickson – 5th in the long jump (12-06); 5th in the 100-meter hurdles (19.56).

Kierstyn Patterson – 5th in the shot put (23-0); 8th in the discus throw (51-04)

Lillian Marou – 6th in the discus throw (53-10)

Angela Glynn – 7th in the discus throw (51-05)

Elizabeth Wood – 7th in the long jump (11-08)

Pilar Cerritos-Gatto – 8th in the shot put (16-09.5)

Hailey McCoy – 9th in the shot put (15-00)

The 3200-meter relay team of Keelin Gray, Meg Lubas, Lauren Blanton, and Elizabeth Allen won the race with a time of 11:41.66.

The 400-meter relay team of Savannah Ziegler, Charlize Cruz, Natalie Winters, and Anna Allen won in a time of 55.16 seconds.

Another win came from the 1600-meter relay team of Ava Roberts, Kennedy Leary, Madeline Thompson, and Isabella Palenzuela. They crossed the line at 4:45.73.
