Caldwell County Rolls at Fort Campbell 13-1

Jamus Carneyhan limited Fort Campbell to just two base hits as Caldwell County rolled to a 13-1 baseball victory on Friday.

The Tigers (7-5) scored five runs in the top of the first inning and went on to post the win in just five innings.

Fort Campbell (3-14) got its lone run — an unearned tally — in the bottom of the first inning.

Carter Whittington went 3-for-4 and scored three times for Caldwell offensively. Deontaye Walls was 2-for-2 and knocked in two while scoring twice.

Carneyhan struck out eight in his complete-game pitching performance while walking three.
He also went 1-for-2 at the plate with a triple and two runs batted in.

Caldwell’s scheduled road game at Ballard Memorial on Saturday has been canceled. The Tigers will play again on Monday when they go to Webster County.

Fort Campbell will play at Fort Knox on Saturday.
