Rebels Celebrate 2021-2022 Basketball Season

With a season that ended as one of the best in the history of the program, the Todd County Central Rebels boys’ basketball team had much to celebrate from 2021-2022. The Rebels did just that with their annual basketball banquet over the weekend.

The Rebels ended the season at 23-9. They won the 4th Region All A Classic and then went on to pick up a win over West Carter at the All A Classic state tournament in Richmond.

Todd Central lost a heartbreaker in the 13th District championship game, but still advanced to the 4th Region tournament. The Rebels had their season come to an end as they fell to Warren Central in the first round at Diddle Arena. Warren Central would go on to drop a one point decision to George Rogers Clark in the state championship game.

Award winners at the Todd Central banquet were:

Best Offensive Player – Jamison Glass
Best Defensive Player – Preston Moore
Best FG Percentage – Jamison Glass
Best Free Throw Percentage – Mareke Johnson
Best 3 Point FG Percentage – Hayden Strader
Charge Award – Preston Rager, Preston Moore, Perez Whitlock
Most Rebounds – Jamison Glass
Most Assists – Perez Whitlock
TDT Rebel Award – Preston Moore
