The Christian County Colonels picked up their fifth win in a row and 19th of the season Wednesday night. The Colonels ripped off 15 hits and took full advantage of six Calloway County errors on the way to an 11-5 win in Murray.

The Colonels scored in every inning but the top of the second inning as they scored in double figures for the eleventh time in 22 games.

Christian County also got another quality start from freshman Aiden Lewis, who went five innings on the moung. Lewis gave up three runs, two of them earned, on five hits.

Christian County scored one in the first, four in the third, and two more in the top of the fourth in building a 7-0 lead and seizing firm control of the game. The two teams would essentially trade runs over the final three innings.

Carter Sholar was 3-5 with 3 RBIs and three runs scored. Jacob Jenkins also had a big night at the plate, going 3-4, driving in three runs and scoring two of his own. Elijah Underhill, Josh Snorton, and Gage Montes added two hits each for the Colonels.

After winning just eight games last season, the Colonels are now 19-3 and will look for their 20th win of the year Friday night when they travel to University Heights.
