Lady Wildcats Take 5th at Hopkinsville Invitational

The Trigg County Lady Wildcats finished in fifth place Saturday at the Hopkinsville Invitational hosted at the Stadium of Champions.

Trigg had four second-place finishes and a relay win to score 62 points, just two points behind fourth-place Barren County.

TOP LADY WILDCAT FINISHES

Riley Brame – 2nd in the high jump (4-8); 2nd in the 100-meter hurdles (19.05); 4th in the 300-meter hurdles (58.39)

Alliyah Thomas – 2nd in the 400-meter dash (1:07.24); 3rd in the 200-meter dash (29.40)

Alivia Norwood – 7th in the shot put (23-5.5); 12th in the discus throw (55-7)

Camryn Burcham – 9th in the long jump (12-8)

Alex Smith – 9th in the 800-meter run (3:01.09); 9th in the shot put (22-9); 14th in the discus throw (53-5)

Jessie Paulter – 11th in the 1600-meter run (6:49.28)

Emma Dowell – 12th in the shot put (19-8); 17th in the discus throw (42-5)

Evonna McGee – 12th in the 800-meter run (3:27.76)

Bella Moore – 13th in the 800-meter run (3:28.64)

Alesha Nyakeraka – 14th in the 1600-meter run (7:33.93)

Gabbi McGee – 16th in the 400-meter dash (1:24.06)

Katye Birdsong – 25th in the 200-meter dash (35.29)

The 1600-meter relay team won the race in a time of 4:37.64.

The 3200-meter relay team finished in second place in 13:09.77.

The 800-meter relay team finished in fifth place in 2:01.65
