Caldwell County senior Jabrion Spikes has chosen a college home.

The Tiger standout announced on social media Thursday morning that he will play his college basketball at Georgetown College.

Spikes follows in the footsteps of former Tiger Derrin Boyd, who has played the last two seasons at NAIA Georgetown but has announced that he is transferring to NCAA Div. I Lipscomb University in Nashville.

Spikes was the 2nd Region Player of the Year this season after leading the region in both scoring and rebounding at 30.7 points and 11.9 boards a game.

Spikes played in the Kentucky-Ohio All-Star game last month, scoring 11 points in Kentucky’s win.

He has also been selected to play in the Kentucky-Indiana All-Star series next month. Those games are June 10 in Owensboro and June 11 in Indianapolis.

Spikes was selected Second Team All-State on both the Lexington Herald-Leader and Courier-Journal All-State Teams.
