The schedules have been set for the 13th District baseball and softball tournaments which will be played this year at Franklin-Simpson High School. The schedules and pairings were officially announced following Wednesday’s meeting of school athletic department officials.
The baseball tournament will get underway Monday. The first game of the evening, at 5:30, will find Franklin-Simpson taking on Russellville. The second game of the night will have the Todd County Central Rebels battling the Logan County Cougars.
The two winners will meet in the championship game Tuesday evening at 6:00.
The 13th District softball tournament will not get started until next Friday, May 20. The first game of the night, at 6:00, will have the Todd County Central Lady Rebels taking on Logan County. The second game that evening will have Russellville taking on Franklin-Simpson at approximately 8pm.
The two winners will play the following night at 6:00 for the 13th District championship.
In both baseball and softball, the tournament winner and runner-up will advance to the 4th Region tournament.
