Lilly Perry pitched a five-hit shutout and drove in a run at the plate to lead Lyon County to a 6-0 win over Trigg County Wednesday. Following the game, Lyon won a coin toss with Livingston Central to earn the number one seed in next week’s district softball tournament.

Perry struck out five and walked only one. She allowed five Trigg singles – MaKenna Hendricks and Livia Breckel each had two of them. Meanwhile, Lyon County rapped out 10 hits with Hadlie Butler and Emma West each knocking doubles as part of two-hit afternoons.

Lyon County scored single runs in the third and fourth innings and broke the game open with a three-run sixth inning. Butler’s squeeze bunt scored Lauren Davis with the first run of the inning. Perry added a sacrifice fly and Courtney Collins had an RBI single in the frame.

Kendra Richardson also had two hits for the Lady Lyons, who completed the season sweep of the Lady Wildcats.

Trigg County was also involved in a coin toss, getting the rare win of a flip to earn them the No. 3 seed in the district tournament. Lyon County will play Crittenden County Monday at 5:30 while the other semifinal has Trigg County and Livingston Central squaring off at seven.
