Following a 10th place showing at the region fishing tournament on Lake Barkley, Trigg County seniors Hunter Shelton and Jordan Hampton will look to land the big ones this weekend at the KHSAA State Bass Fishing Tournament on Kentucky Lake.
For Hampton, it’s his second trip to the state tournament. For Shelton, it’s his first. But the duo has tons of big tourney experience across the Midwest over the past three years.
While fishing on Kentucky Lake has been sketchy at best this spring, they are hoping some new spots, as well as some friendly stops in the past, help them finish high in the two-day event.
