Todd County Central’s Will Kearns has turned a breakout senior season into an opportunity to play baseball at the college level. The infielder signed on Thursday to continue his academic and athletic careers at Midway University in Kentucky.
Kearns made a huge jump in production from his junior to senior campaigns, raising his batting average from .173 to .321 and finishing the 2022 season with 27 hits and 21 runs driven in. He also chipped in on the mound, posting a 3-2 record with a 2.14 ERA.
Midway plays at the NAIA level in the River States Conference. The Eagles finished 19-31 this season, 13-10 in conference play.
