Relay Team Leads Rebels to 4th Place Region Finish

The Todd County Central Rebels ended up with a Top 5 finish at the Class A Region 2 track meet this week. The meet was hosted by McLean County and took place at Apollo High School in Owensboro.

The Rebels finished the meet with 57 points, which was good enough for a 4th place team finish. Green County took 1st place with 138 points. Fort Knox was second with 120. Bethlehem claimed third with 79 points.

The Rebels claimed one championship at the meet, that being the boys 4×200 meter relay team. They finished the race at 1:35.02, more than a second ahead of second place Green County.

Xazvion West had a big day for the Rebels. West took 3rd place in the discus and 2nd place in the shot put.

Sprinters Keanu Galima and Omarion Riddick finished 3rd and 4th respectively in the 100 meters and the 200 meters for Todd County Central.

Preston Moore also brought home a third place finish with a jump of 5-4 in the boys’ high jump.

 

Other top finishes for Todd County Central were:

Fisher Borders – 5th place – 400 meter dash

Andrew McDonald – 6th place – 110 meter hurdles

4×400 meter relay team – 5th place

Angel Villanueve – 5th place – Discus
