University Heights Academy senior Ethan Alexander knew he had a difficult draw in his first round match at the state tennis tournament on Tuesday.
Alexander faced Owen Brown of Grayson County, one of eight 9-16 seeds for the state tourney.
Alexander said he showed improvement over last year’s trip to the state tourney, but still dropped a 6-0, 6-0 decision in his first round match at the University of Kentucky tennis complex in Lexington.
YSE spoke with Alexander following his match.
