Todd County Central School Records Fall at the State Meet

Todd County brought home a respectable finish as well as four school records Thursday at the Clark’s Pump-N-Shop Class 1A Track and Field Championships at the University of Kentucky.

Keanu Galima brought home two medals and two school records from the state meet. Galima took fourth place in the 100-meter dash in a school-record time of 11.16 seconds and was sixth in the 200-meter dash in 23.04 seconds – also a new school mark.

X’Zavion West also medaled twice. He was fourth in the shot put, besting his school record with a heave of 46-09.75, and was fourth in the discus throw with a new school record of 136 feet.

The 800-meter relay team of Keanu Galima, Franklin Grullon, Omarion Riddick, and Preston Moore finished in third place in 1:34.02.

Omarion Riddick finished 10th in the 100-meter dash and was 11th in the 200-meter dash.

Angel Villanueve was 15th in the discus throw at 114-04.

Fisher Borders came in 18th place in the 400-meter dash in 54.38 seconds.

As a team, Todd County Central scored 24 points to finish in 12th place.

Yasmine Peterson was the only female individual to represent TCCHS at the state meet. She finished in 17th place in the 100-meter dash in 13.42 seconds.

The 800-meter relay team of Melanie Chamberlin, Yasmine Peterson, Caitlin Hines, and Ava Scott finished in 23rd place.
