Lyon’s Brody Williams Named 1st Team All-State

He had an unbelievable season at the plate and helped lead the Lyon County Lyons to the 2nd Region semifinals and now Brody Williams has been recognized for his efforts on the field this season.

The Kentucky High School Baseball Coaches Association announced its All-State teams Sunday and Williams was among those named 1st Team All-State.

Williams was money at the plate during the 2022 season for the Lyons. He hit an astonishing .530 with 12 home runs and 45 RBIs. He also had 16 doubles and one triple. He appeared in 33 games for the Lyons.

Defensively, Williams was a force behind the plate at catcher for Lyon County.

He has signed to play collegiately at Kent State University.

Lyon County repeated as 5th District champs, finishing the year at 27-7. The Lyons fell in the 2nd Region semifinals to Henderson County.
