Heritage Christian Academy senior Weston Powell was named the Kentucky Christian Athletic Association Mr. Baseball at the conclusion of the state tournament Saturday.

The Mr. Baseball title is given to the player who best represents the spirit of the game through leadership, academics, athletics, and spiritual life.

Powell hit .422 for the Warriors in 2022 in helping them to the school’s second straight KCAA state championship. He had seven extra-base hits and drove in 29 runs. He also had 22 strikeouts in 13 innings pitched.

Powell is the fifth Heritage Christian Academy baseball player to earn the Mr. Baseball title, joining Josh Jones (2019), Jacob Workman (2015), Aaron Workman (2013), and Caleb Brown (2011).
