Emma Talley will be in the very first group to tee off on No. 1 when the Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give gets underway early Thursday morning at Blythefield Country Club in Belmont, Mich.
Talley’s threesome will begin at 7:15 a.m. Eastern time in this week’s event on the LPGA Tour.
Talley’s playing partners for the first two rounds will be Brianna Do of Lakewood, Calif., and Dana Finkelstein of Chandler, Ariz.
Talley’s group will be the first to go off No. 10 in the second round on Friday with a 12:15 p.m. Eastern time start that day.
The 2022 Meijer Classic offers 72 holes of stroke play as competitors square off for a share of a $2.5 million purse.
Proceeds from the tournament and this week’s festivities in Belmont will once again benefit the Meijer Simply Give program that restocks the shelves of food pantries across the Midwest.
One hundred forty-four competitors begin play on Thursday.
The field will be cut to the top 70 and ties following the second round on Friday.
Talley, a Princeton native, is coming off a tie for 29th showing last week in the ShopRite LPGA Classic in New Jersey.
