Conlee Lindsey outdueled sister Rheagan Lindsey for medalist honors in the GO Junior Golf Stop at Madisonville Country Club on Friday.
Conlee shot an 84 to edge Rheagan by two shots. Conlee had sides of 39 and 45 while Rheagan carded 45 and 41 in the 16-18 championship age group.
The Lindseys play high school golf for University Heights Academy.
The field waited out a nearly 3-1/2 hour rain delay after a storm moved through Madisonville Friday morning. However, the sun came out for the afternoon’s play.
Anna Fort, a member of the Hopkinsville High School golf team, won the 13-15 championship. She finished at 86. Hannah Robbins of Owensboro was runner-up in that group with a 107.
The girls’ 13-15 nine-hole division was won by Meryl Grogan of Henderson, who carded a 44. Ainsley Dalton, also from Henderson, was runner-up with a 47.
The 11-12 nine-hole age group was won by Reagan Ramsey of Madisonville, who shot a 58.
The Lindseys younger sister, Campbell, was runner-up with a 62. Marlee McGaw of Madisonville took third at 65.
