After a tough day Friday, Saturday at the Best of the West was a solid day for the Christian County Colonels. The Colonels would end up winning four games before falling to Gibson Southern in the championship game of the consolation bracket.
Christian County began Saturday with a 24-10 win over Muhlenberg County. The Colonels then ran into a good Clarksville Northeast team and dropped a 52-14 decision.
The loss dropped the Colonels into the losers bracket, where they got on a bit of a roll. The Colonels picked up wins over West Carroll, Trigg County, and West Creek, before taking on Gibson Southern in the consolation bracket final.
Gibson Southern would end up claiming the consolation bracket championship with a 23-15 win.
