Hopkinsville Drops Pair Saturday at BOTW Tournament (w/PHOTOS)

The Hopkinsville Tigers finished up their appearance in the 2022 Best of the West with a pair of tough losses Saturday morning at Tie Breaker Park. The Tigers began championship bracket play with a matchup against Owensboro Catholic.

The contest was tight throughout with Hopkinsville holding a 14-11 lead late in the game. The Aces struck for a long touchdown pass in the game’s final moments and that turned out to be the difference as Catholic took the 18-14 win.

The loss dropped Hopkinsville into the consolation bracket where they would face West Creek. The Tigers struggled to get into an offensive rhythm, while on the other sideline, West Creek had their passing game clicking from the moment the contest started. West Creek would end Hoptown’s day with a 36-7 win.
