Caldwell Track Team Sets 15 School Records in 2022

To say 2022 was a record-breaking season for the Caldwell County track team would be an understatement.

Caldwell athletes set 15 of 40 school records this past season, which is 37.5 percent of the school’s track records.

All of Caldwell’s school track records will be soon be listed on a board near the concession stand in the Community Activities Building.

Here is a list of school marks that fell this year:

GIRLS
Thrower Relay – Keirli Herrin, Benashka Thomas, Emma Ward, Ericka Sanders, 1:08.85.

Sprint Medley Relay – Chevy McGowan, Avery Wells, Ava Pickett, Med Thomas, 2:02.95.

Distance Medley Relay – Jordan Ortt, Ava Pickett, Addyson Schott, Kylee White, 15:06.67.

Javelin – Chevy McGowan, 60 feet, 10 inches

300-meter Hurdles – Ava Pickett, 54.00.

BOYS
4×100-meter Relay – Elijah Shaheen, GeoVante Riley, Isaiah Joyner, Ethan Weatherspoon, 44.68.

4×800-meter Relay – Timothy Nichols, Blake Lancaster, Filippo Taccola, Gabriel Schirmer, 9:34.08.

Thrower Relay – Jordan Ladd, Cole Sherrill, Jack Roach, Daniel Laurent, 59.75.

Sprint Medley Relay – Elijah Shaheen, Ethan Weatherspoon, GeoVante Riley, Isaiah Joyner, 1:42.46.

Distance Medley Relay – Blake Lancaster, Filippo Taccola, Gabriel Schirmer, Timothy Nichols, 14:00.04.

Javelin – Jackson Risley, 88 feet, 3 inches.

800-meter Run – Gabriel Schirmer, 2:16.10.

Long Jump – Isaiah Joyner, 21 feet, 4 inches.

200-meter Dash – Ethan Weatherspoon, 22.48.

100-meter Dash – Ethan Weatherspoon, 10.92.
