Full Count rallied from a 5-1 deficit to upend the Hoptown Hoppers 11-5 Monday night in the first game of their divisional championship series in Hendersonville, Tenn.

Game two of the best-of-three set is Tuesday night at 7:00 at Hopkinsville High School.

Edmundo Alanis homered as part of a four-run third inning that gave the Hoppers a 4-1 lead. Hoptown tacked on another run in the fourth to build its four-run advantage.

But Full Count scored twice in each of the fourth and fifth innings to knot the game.

A six-run seventh then sent the Rhythm well on its way to the game one victory. Hudson Mimbs’ grand slam put Full Count on top to stay. Henry Mosley added a two-run homer as part of the big inning by the home.

Mimbs finished the night 2-for-4 with six runs batted in while Mosley was 3-for-4 with five RBIs.

The divisional champion will advance to the league championship later this week.
