Wall, Marshals Scorch Calvert City Country Club for Invitational Wins

Trey Wall’s career-best score not only meant a first-place finish for him but also carried Marshall County to the team title Tuesday at the Marshall Invitational.

Wall scorched the Calvert City Country Club with a 7-under par 65 to defeat Greenwood’s Michael Lang by four shots.

Grant Broughton of Daviess County, Jack Butts of Paducah, and Trigg County’s Hunter Reynolds all shot even par. A scorecard playoff awarded third place to Broughton and fourth place to Butts.

As a team, Marshall County shot a 294 to defeat second-place Greenwood by six shots. McCracken County was third with 308 and Trigg County scored 326 to finish in fourth place.
