There apparently will be a change during the off-season for one Ohio Valley League team. A tweet from the former Franklin Duelers Twitter account Wednesday afternoon announced that the team would be officially rebranding as the Bowling Green Lugnuts.
The Duelers spent the home part of their 2022 season playing on the baseball field at South Warren High School on Nashville Road.
The tweet stated “We are also super excited to announce the start of a rebranding stage. Over the course of the next couple of months, we will be transitioning to the Bowling Green Lugnuts! We hope you will continue to support our organization as we begin this rebranding process.”
The Duelers finished 19-20 this season, losing in two games to the Full Count Rhythm in a first round playoff series.
