Marshall County Wins Lady Marshal Invitational

Marshall County Lady Marshals -- 2022 Lady Marshal Invitational champions

Led by medalist Trinity Beth, Marshall County claimed its Lady Marshall Invitational Tuesday by 37 shots over second place South Warren.

Beth, the two-time Kentucky Miss Golf, shot a 5-under-par at the Calvert City Country Club to claim the individual title by three shots over Lyon County’s Cathryn Brown.

Beth led Brown by one shot heading to the 18th hole. Beth was able to birdie the final hole while Brown bogeyed, giving the Marshall County freshman the three-shot win.

A pair of Madisonville golfers landed in third and fourth place. Karra Tucker shot a 1-over 73 to finish in third place. Sydney Browning shot a career-best score of 75 that included her second hole-in-one in three years.

As a team, Marshall County took the team title with a score of 309. South Warren was second with 346, and Bowling Green was third at 348.

South Warren was the 2022 Lady Marshal Invitational runner-up
