Playing without its number three golfer, Trigg County finished in eighth place Friday at the Christian County Invitational hosted by Western Hills Golf Course.
Hunter Reynolds led the Wildcats with a 2-over par 73 to finish in eighth place. The round of 73 equaled his season average for 18 holes.
Christian County’s Landon Hunt won the event with a 1-under 70.
Haydon Reynolds was right behind his brother with a score of 74, lowering his season average to 79.
Matthew Leeper added a season-best round of 89 with Trevor Terrell shooting a 94, and Aydan Joiner shooting a 100.
Ty Butts, Trigg’s No. 3 golfer with a season average of 80, was ill and did not play.
As a team, Trigg County shot a score of 330 with 23 strokes separating places three through 11th.
All five of Marshall County’s golfers shot 78 or better and finished with a score of 290 – 15 shots better than second place McCracken County.
South Warren (312) edged Daviess County for third place.
