Kentucky plays four games in the Bahamas this week and if Oscar Tshiebwe is right — and it seems like he has been right about everything since transferring to Kentucky — then Kentucky fans are really going to love what they see from senior Jacob Toppin.

He turned heads in limited play during last week’s open practice but Tshiebwe says to look for a lot more in these exhibition games.

“He has improved his jump shot so much. He is more physical. He is making good passes. He just has got a lot better,” said Tshiebwe. “You will be impressed when you see him play. Nobody can stop him (in practice).”

Coach John Calipari has already predicted Toppin can become a first-round pick in the 2023 NBA Draft. Tshiebwe believes he can reach that goal.

“I am very happy for him. He has changed his whole game,” Tshiebwe said. “Right now he really does everything he wants,” Tshiebwe said. “This is very big for us. We need that for sure. What he is doing is very good for all of us.”

Tshiebwe said he’s even had trouble stopping Toppin from scoring.

“I put my hands up, he is still making buckets. I love what I am seeing,” Tshiebwe said. “I told him to keep working because we need that.”
